Ask My Wardrobe reached the top 5 on BetaList and became the #5 Product of the Day on Product Hunt.

For anyone unfamiliar with them, BetaList and Product Hunt are 2 of the biggest platforms for discovering new startups and products worldwide.

Becoming one of the top launches on both platforms was super exciting.

The BetaList Launch

BetaList was first. I wanted to understand how these platforms work before jumping into both at the same time.

We launched on August 13. I think the biggest reasons we reached the top were the product images, good timing, and sharing the launch on socials.

The images were especially important. They caught people’s attention and helped them understand what the product does almost immediately.

Then We Launched on Product Hunt

I followed a similar approach for Product Hunt, but this time I wanted to provide as much information as possible.

Ask My Wardrobe has a digital wardrobe, an outfit planner, and a AI outfit generator. Showing how everything works through only a few screenshots would have been difficult, so making a commercial video was a no-brainer.

I wrote about how I made the commercial here:

The video helped people understand the complete idea behind Ask My Wardrobe much faster.

The Best Part

We made it into the top 5 products of the day on Product Hunt, putting Ask My Wardrobe among the top launches on both platforms.

Of course, I was super excited about the ranking. But the best part was seeing people try the tool, share what they loved, and send some really cool suggestions.

For me, that’s the biggest win. The rankings show that people are interested in Ask My Wardrobe and the feedback helps me understand what to build and improve next.

Seeing Ask My Wardrobe become one of the top launches on both BetaList and Product Hunt has given me even more energy to keep building.

If you found us through either launch, thank you for trying the tool. ✌️
